How school-based property search works

Type a school name above and select it to see homes for sale or to rent within walking or driving distance. Each school's page lets you adjust the search radius from half a mile up to 5 miles, and filter between properties for sale and to rent.

Does this show school catchment areas?

No. Results are based on straight-line distance from the school, not its admissions catchment area. Catchment areas are set by the local authority each year based on demand, and typically don't match a simple radius on a map. If a school place is part of your decision, always confirm current catchment and admissions criteria directly with the school or your local council — this tool is a starting point for browsing nearby homes, not a guarantee of admission eligibility.

Where does the school data come from?

School names and locations are sourced from the Department for Education's official register of schools in England (Get Information about Schools). Only currently open schools are included.

What if a school doesn't appear as a link?

A school only gets its own results page once there's at least one active property listing nearby — this keeps every page on the site genuinely useful rather than showing an empty results list. As more properties are listed, more schools will have a searchable page.
